Hotel Accessibility Information
The main hotel entrance is on the 7th Avenue side of the building. Adjacent to the revolving doors at the main entrance, there are two automatic sliding doors which open to 40” wide when they sense movement in front of them. The side entrance on 55th Street does not have accessible entry (a revolving door only). There is a ramp down to this area as the gift shop and pay phones are located just inside this entrance. The entire Lobby Level, with the exception of this small area near the gift shop and pay phones is level. The lobby level includes cityhouse restaurant, bar bella lounge, the front desk, the concierge desk, and elevators to guest room floors. The front desk has a section that is lower for accessible registration. The parking garage is not owned or managed by the hotel and is on the North side of 56th street between Broadway and 7th Avenue. From the hotel entrance to the parking garage all sidewalks are flat and there are cut-aways with ramps on all corners of 7th Avenue and 56th Street. Valet parking is also available for all guests. Accessible public restrooms with larger stalls and grab rails are available on the Southeast side of the lobby level. The Mezzanine level with meeting space has a dedicated elevator to this floor. Restrooms on this level do not have accessible stalls.
ADA equipment kits are available through the Hotel Security Department and can be requested as needed. These contain a TTY device, door knock alert, in-line phone amplifier, phone ring signaler, and clock w/bed shaker.
