A Day in Wonderland

Coming to New York City feels like falling down the rabbit hole. The city constantly asks “eat me,  drink me” as you choose your own adventure through the city with unique sights, cuisines, and characters. A perfect place to explore, break the rules, and learn. Popping out on the other end, wondering what happened and yearning to stumble back in.

Spend a day in Wonderland wandering the city through the eyes of Alice. Start with a “drink me” worthy creamy latte on tap from Le Colombe (oatmilk option available) and escape the city into Central Park. Meander through the maze of pathways and stumble upon Alice, herself, immortalized in bronze with White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat on the east side (between 76th & 77th) of the park. Venture deeper into the forest, errr park with an interactive tour of riddles, games and unique landmarks fit for families and adults.

The immersive experience, Wonderland Dreams, of hand-painted Van Gogh-esk imagery wrapped up earlier this year but doesn’t mean the story ends here. Spend an afternoon creating bespoke cocktails, hands-on activities of painting roses and solving puzzles at a secret location of the Queen’s garden fit with flamingos, cards and plenty of ‘looking glasses’. Or create a PG Mad Hatter tea party in the afternoon of tea, finger sandwiches and a deck of cards.

For a softer touch of whimsy, spend the evening at Alice: Italian Seafood and Lobster Bar. A pescatarian restaurant with fresh pastas and themed cocktails. The homage to the storybook lurks in the interior details of mirrors, wild mushroom sculptures and question marks adorning each waitstaff’s apron. Don’t end the night here (though you can if you want to)! Enter Lillie’s Union Square. Enveloping you into a world of oversized flowers, hanging mushrooms, the White Rabbit and a whimsical cocktail menu. Drink the right one and you’ll come back to reality, choose another and you may fall further down the hole.
