“Oh, the weather outside is frightful…” Or so the classic holiday song goes, but New York City offers events perfect for the season which seem quite “delightful”.
Take off from Manhattan for a weekend Holiday brunch cruise. The inside of this yacht will bring the spirit of the holiday with a cozy feel and festive decorations. And don’t forget the food spread: fresh bagels, waffle station, salads, to mention a few and brunch-y beverages to wash it down.
Always a classic winter outdoor event: ice skating. There are too many rinks to list all here so make sure to read our previous blog. Or visit the new rink in Brooklyn’s Industry City with themed skate days.
Go back in time and ride a vintage subway train. The New York Transit Museum sets up “Holiday Nostalgia Rides” on the F-Line every Sunday in December. Check out the schedule and stops while learning a little history about the first subway company in the 1930’s.
Ring in the new year with a midnight run through Central Park. As the clock strikes midnight, runners will start a 4 mile run through the park, hosted by Road Runners, and get glimpses of fireworks to kick off 2020.
Embrace winter with us.
