New York City Things To Do in December

The end of the year is just around the corner and we get all month to feel the cheer, see family and friends, and celebrate.

Igloo Living

Live the eskimo life-ish. Igloos are the new solution to cold weather and outdoor dining with festive flair for the holidays. Most come with heater, cocktails or hot cocoa, and snacks while chillin’ (see what we did there?)

  • Bryant Park - Take a break from the spectacular winter village shopping and reserve an igloo experience.
  • City Winery/City Vineyard - Sister locations in Rockefeller and Tribeca. Book if you’re looking for more than snacks and want a full dining experience.
  • Somewhere Nowhere NYC - Teardrop shaped igloos with plush couches and built-in fireplaces. Chef’s kiss.

Holiday Markets

Think craft fair with twinkle lights and glitter, delicious food and hot spiced beverages. December isn’t complete without shopping through one of these:

  • Columbus Circle Holiday Market
  • Union Square Holiday Market
  • Bryant Park Winter Village

Holiday Bars

Some bars are pop-ups, some really lean into the holiday spirit with decorations. These bars are sure to put anyone in the mood to be jolly.

  • Rolf’s - Historically holiday themed all year round with ornaments and decorations floor to ceiling.
  • Oscar Wilde - Some say “Christmas Overload”, we say “Perfection”.
  • Maccabee Bar at Ollie’s - Hanukkah themed bar and cocktails for the eight days.

NYE at Park Lounge

Whether you’re looking for an intimate evening or making new friends to close out the year, Park Lounge is the place to watch the ball drop. Champagne, delicious bits, and a view of Times Square.
