New York City is filled with decades of history. Some glamorous, some dangerous, and some mysterious. March is for the memories of yester-year and nostalgia is the best way to get a hit of dopamine while waiting for Spring.
Great Gatsby Immersive Experience
Transport into the fantastical world of the Jazz Age with Mr. Gatsby, Daisy and Nick. Mr. Gatsby, himself, invites guests to The Mansion at Park Central New York for his infamous parties of glitz, glamor, spirits and personalities. An immersive experience that only New York City can throw. Opt for the VIP experience for table service, coat check, and access to the mezzanine bar. And, no need to leave the party. Park Central Hotel is also offering weekend packages to extend the party.
Lexington Candy Shop/ Luncheonette
The OG diner experience of simpler times and soda fountain drinks like malts, egg creams, and root beer floats. Lexington Candy Shop has been in business for over 90 years with interiors described as ‘a blast from the past’. Pony up to the counter for a classic cheeseburger or an American breakfast, the menu is classic and has something for everyone. Located in the Upper East Side, by Museum Mile, it is the perfect pitstop to complete a day at the museum(s).
Friends Experience
Calling all FRIENDS fans! The Friends Experience is here. Make it a group outing and roam around 2 floors of iconic scenery including the Central Perk couch, the girls’ purple door and apartment. We all wished our grandmother left us a rent controlled apartment! For an extra cool experience, book a Guided Group Tour for your group only.
Titanic; The Exhibition (Closes March 19)
Before it leaves NYC later this month, get tickets to Titanic: The Exhibition. If you’re like most, our closest encounter with the Titanic involves Celine Dion and the great debate of Jack fitting on a floating door. The exhibition walks visitors through the stories and lives of the passengers on the Titanic's maiden and final voyage in 1912. Experience the stark difference between the First Class quarters and the third class cabins as you walk through life-size recreations of interiors with an audio guide (multiple languages available). Reminding us and new generations what a marvel this ship was for the time.
An escape to the past is a nice break from today and it also allows us to come back to the present with fresh eyes!
