Walk: 1 minute

Located directly across from Carnegie Hall, the Redeye Grill's name is derived from the infamous late-night flight linking America’s two cultural hubs: New York City and Los Angeles.
The Redeye Grill menu features such classics as our famous "dancing shrimp," sushi burger, lobster cobb salad, and banana cream pie. Open for breakfast, lunch & dinner.

Amali

Walk: 16 minutes

Amali boasts affordable, beautiful and delicious food for lunch and dinner, a spot you shouldn’t miss. From their brick chicken, roasted whole fish, and house made pasta, everything here feels as if it’s cooked with love — a refreshing break from the standard uptown restaurant.

Partner/GM James Mallios’ neighborhood favorites:

“Tori Shin may have left the neighborhood, but Sushi Sekkei on 1st serves excellent sushi until 3 am. The fluke with jalapeno is knock out. For drinks I would go to The Bar Room (the late night industry spot), or the Jeffrey (for beer). If you remember a older New York City before Guliani (or wish you did) check out Neerys in Sutton Place (it is a classic but not just because people there are classics).”

Joe’s Shanghai

Walk: 8 minutes

Best known for their soup dumplings, these iconic little sachets of soup delicately wrapped in the thinnest of dough and steamed to perfection are the ideal way to experience the lively Chinese culture in New York without stepping foot in Chinatown.
