Part II Summer Park Series: Movies in the "Park"

Last month we let you in on a quintessential summer activity: movies in the park. While you take advantage of New York hotel deals and visit this summer, here is our list of must-hit lawns and movies to see.

July 15: Bad Boys
An action movie classic perfect for a group...or maybe this is your type of rom-com? Bryant Park lawn opens at 5pm to allow plenty of time before night fall to pick your perfect patch of lawn. In case you forget refreshments, beer and wine will be on sale.

July 19: Ralph Breaks the Internet
Family Fridays on Pier 46 at Hudson RiverFlicks in Greenwich Village (Hudson River Park) is our choice for a summer family outing.

July 25: It Happened One Night
An oldie but a goodie in Brooklyn Bridge Park with the beautiful backdrop of Manhattan.

July 26: Chocolat
Hosted by Films on the Green. This years selection highlights female french filmmakers. Gather at Riverside Park Pier I, movie starts at 8:30pm

August 11: Crazy Rich Asians
Back in April, we mentioned movies in the park and we’ve found another great flick to catch in Randall’s Island Park. Spend the day exploring the free activities and stay for the sunset and movie.

Notable mentions:
July 18: Dirty Dancing playing in Queens Hunters Point Park South.

August 7: Tootsie on Pier 63 in Chelsea.

August 16:  Audience Choice at the Intrepid Museum.
