Summer Concerts

New York City knows how to put on summer with plenty of outdoor events to fill your calendar. BUT, the best part are the summer concerts throughout the city: warm nights, picnic blankets, and fresh air with your favorite music or performance and a New York hotel deal to lay your head down at the end of the night.

Pier 17

Views of Brooklyn along the water on top of a rooftop. Pier 17 brings a breadth of music genres for all ages: Vance Joy, Pusha T, Greensky Bluegrass, Flogging Molly, Yacht Rock, 5 Seconds of Summer and more. Elevate the experience in the Heineken Green Zone to be up close and personal or take the relaxed approach and enjoy the show from the Grey Goose Terrace. Pier 17 is located in the Seaport where you can eat, explore and shop the cobble stoned walkways.

SummerStage

Born out of preserving the parks in New York and bringing culture to city dwellers, SummerStage ‘represents the cultural fabric of New York City’ with free performances ranging from hip-hop, jazz, contemporary dance, latin, global, and indie. The 2022 season kicks off its 40th year on June 11. Though the series is free, there are opportunities to give back and support by attending their benefit concerts.

Picnic Performances

Don’t worry about forgetting a blanket or chair, Picnic Performances at Bryant Park provide you one to enjoy a casual setting of opera, dance, music and more on Fridays and Saturdays May 27th - September 17th. Bring your own food or grab something there. It doesn’t get any easier than this for weekend plans.

Philharmonic and Fireworks

Through the month of June, the New York Philharmonic performs a concert in each borough. Don’t leave too soon! After each performance (except the Staten Island inside concert), a fireworks show concludes the night.

Governors Ball Festival

The ultimate summer festival in Queens. 4 stages, 70 acts across three days. Depending on your commitment level, choose between a 3-day or 1-day pass to map out your stage hopping. Need a break from the stage? There’s plenty of space and places to relax, chill, eat, and admire the art installations.

Park Concert Series

No matter where you are, there’s a patch of grass and an outdoor performance you can see this summer. All around the city, free concerts and performances are popping up all summer long.
