Part III Summer Park Series: Park Runs

Marathons in New York are upon us and finding the right path for that long distance run can be trying. We’ve been around the park block a few times  (literally!) and know how to get that mileage in. For our final post in our Summer Park Series, Park Central scouted out the best parks to get your mileage on. These routes aren’t just for runners - walkers, joggers, leisurely strollers...these are for you, too!

Brooklyn Bridge Park - The Greenway

This path is a choose your own distance with the backdrop of Manhattan to inspire any traveller as you run along the waterfront. Note: Parts of the path are under construction. Make sure to plan your run before heading out.

Van Cortlandt Park

Escape the city hustle and bustle and run through this oasis of nature.

Central Park

We can’t talk about running in parks without mentioning this one. Download their running map and piece together a run for sprints, distance, or anything in between.

Riverside Park

Northwest of our hotels in midtown Manhattan, this park gives you views of the Hudson River and a distant New Jersey. Nice wide paths for easy access and running

Not into paving your own path? We like Strava, MapMyRun, or Aaptiv for inspiration and pre-vetted trails other runners have tested out.
