The Park Central Hotel New York (sometimes hereinafter referred to as “Hotel”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is dedicated to providing exceptional service to guests of all abilities. We strive to provide online content that provides an excellent user experience for visitors of all abilities, using any type of assistive technology to access the website.
 
We base our website accessibility standards on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1, level A + AA success criteria. In addition, we actively work to maintain, assess and improve the usability and accessibility of our website through training of our personnel, engagement of experts and regular testing of our digital accessibility.

The Park Central is ADA compliant in accordance with the construction statutes of the ADA (Department of Justice ADA Title III Regulation 28 CFR Part 36, 1991). We welcome guests of all abilities. Our property descriptions aim to allow any visitor to make an informed decision on whether the hotel is an appropriate choice for their needs. 

Property features

  • Accessible public entrance with 60" wide double doors, and a 9' unrestricted pathway with a 20' sidewalk wheelchair maneuvering clearance. Distance from parking is 20' from the Valet, and 3 city blocks from the garage. 
  • The route from the public entrance to the registration area is 50' in distance, with a 20' wide pathway and 20' wheelchair maneuvering clearance in the open lobby.
  • The registration desk is 43” high and 17" wide that is wheelchair accessible. Wheelchair maneuvering clearance is 120" 
  • Accessible route from the public entrance to the registration area and accessible rooms.
  • Accessible elevator is 60" x 55" in size, with 33" doors and a 60" wheelchair maneuvering clearance.
  • Accessible route to the elevator is 150' from the entrance with a 95" pathway width. Distance to the elevator from the registration desk is 100' with a 60" wide pathway.
  • Accessible emergency exit.  
  • Accessible public restroom with lavatory controls contains 36" wide doors. The toilet height is 17" with grab bars, and stall sizes at 72"x120" with 68" maneuvering for wheelchair clearance. Sink height is 33" with insulation wrpaped plumbing. Mirror height is 34" with 56" wheelchair maneuvering clearance.
  • Accessible route from parking area to the main entrance is 3 city blocks from the front desk and hotel.
  • Parking is valet only, with a distance to the front desk by 7'. The pathway width and wheelchair maneuvering clearance are 240" 
  • TTY for guest use.
  • Visual (strobe light) alarms.
  • Guest room televisions have closed captioning or closed captioning decoders are provided.
  • Braille signage throughout.
  • Accessible route to all food and beverage outlets from the public entrance and accessible rooms. The lobby restaurant is 60' from the public entrance, with 80" pathway width, and contains 80" wide entrance door. The distance to the elevators is 100', and 120' to the bathroom. Table heights are 35".
  • Accessible meeting and event facilities, and accessible route to all meeting and event facilities from the public entrance and accessible rooms.  
  • Accessible business center.
  • Accessible route to business center from the public entrance and accessible rooms. 
  • Accessible exercise facilities, and accessible route to exercise facilities from the public entrance and accessible rooms. The 3rd floor gym is accessible with 150' distance from the public entrance using the elevators. Water fountains in the facility are accessible and 35" high. We do not contain any special gym equipment. 
  • Service animals are welcome at the Park Central Hotel New York.
